Dore's (aka "World's Best") Oatmeal

half serving long-cook (coarse) oatmeal
half serving instant or 1 minute (fine) oatmeal
--or use all medium-texture (don't use all instant oatmeal; it turns into mush)
spoon of brown sugar
dab of butter or margarine
pinch of cinnamon sugar, or a tiny-pinch of cinnamon
tiny-pinch of salt (not much; it'll ruin it if you use too much!)
peaches, bananas, apples or other fresh fruits; raisins, dates or other dried fruits
1/4 cup milk

Put everything but the milk and fruit in your bowl. Cut up fruit. Boil some water, and heat milk in microwave or on stove. Pour boiling water on the oats, enough to cover them and then another half inch. Stir well. Cover and let sit for 2 minutes. Add milk and fruit. Go!
